As a writer, I’ve owned an inordinate amount of notebooks in my time – I mean a serious number. I think the problem was that for so long I was looking for a notebook that felt comfortable to me – you know, it’s a bit like matchmaking. Is the paper lined or unlined? How does the binding feel? Will I want to keep writing halfway through or will I have to use my other arm to pin the first half of the book down? I hope I’m not the only one who goes through this or this will read as quite weird to you all, lol!
Finally I’ve settled into writing in two types of notebooks, spiral bound and thin bound ones like these from Studio Oh! Like the discovery journal, I also picked these up at Barnes & Noble (love that place), and thought they would make a great gift. These are 80 pages each and while I don’t have an exact picture (as I don’t want to take apart the packaging) they are an “old parisian” style, quite like the one shown below. The set includes three of these notebooks, which are great for everyday use like keeping in your car or in your bag for notes, or for writing.
