POPSUGAR Must Have June Box Review & Code!

I can’t even remember the last time that I did a proper unboxing type of post. I love watching and reading other bloggers and vloggers box reveals, and POPSUGAR’s Must Have Box is among my favorites. They always have the best boxes – and now they even have a mini box too! I love how they have this mix of lifestyle and beauty items, which brings me to POPSUGAR’s June Must Have Box.

POPSUGAR kindly sent me this Must Have Box to try, which is great because there is no kind of regret like the regret you feel when you’ve missed out on a great month for your favorite subscription box. And June was a great month. This box featured 7 items, here they are:

Neutral Diamonds Print Sarong from Hat Attack – this sarong/scarf has a really nice print on it. I’m all about adding sarongs/scarves to my collection, they’re really versatile and look great over a bathing suit or just worn as a scarf with some pretty sunglasses and a hat. ARV on this one is $58.

“Cheers” Gold Bottle Opener from Sisters of Los Angeles – I love this bottle opener, and not just because I needed a new one and this showed up in the nick of time. This is one sturdy bottle opener, and I love that it looks very Kate Spade but for a less shock-worthy price. Pick up this for your next party at sistersoflosangeles.com for only $12!

Who am I gamePopsugar5
Ridley’s Games Room “Who Am I?” Quiz from Wild and Wolf – I am a hardcore game lover. And I’ve made it my goal to find new games, because honestly, how many times must I beat my family members at Monopoly before they cast me off entirely. “Who Am I?” is a great easy-to-play game where you team up with other players to guess the celebrity. It’s a great ice breaker, we love it at my house. Find out more here, (ARV $12.95).

Born on the 4th Nail Lacquer by NCLA – This gorgeous nail polish is not only cruelty free and wonderfully patriotic, it also can be worn solo or under a base color. Suggested retail: $16, more info here.

Are You Ready (For Your Close-Up?) Compact by Knock Knock – this is the second mirror I have from Knock Knock and I love them. They’re cute, durable, and definitely useful. Average retail value, $10.

Underarm Deodorant Wipes from Pacifica – Summer heat causes the most beauty melt-downs (at least for me), these wipes keep odors at bay while on the go. More details here, (ARV $9).

Sriracha snacks from Pressels – I must admit I was not adventurous enough to try these, but my sister did and gave them a thumbs up. These handy snacks have got less fat and sodium than other popular chip options, sugg. retail is $1.29 – find out more about Pressels here.

The entire value of this box is $119.24 which makes this box definitely high value as POPSUGAR Must Have boxes are only $39.95 a month, and POPSUGAR Mini Boxes are $18.95. Visit this link to sign up and get your own POPSUGAR Must Have Box! Right now you can also use the code JUNE5 to get $5 off your first box – I’m not sure how long the code is good for, but be sure to follow them on twitter (or me) for updates!

POPSUGAR NatureBox Review

For those of you who don’t know, I’m a massive POPSUGAR fan – I especially love their subscription POPSUGAR Must Have box. Every now and then they also do limited edition select boxes, and being a POPSUGAR Select Beauty Blogger, I was lucky enough to receive one such box. The box I was sent is a part of POPSUGAR Must Have’s recent partnership with NatureBox – another subscription service which I know and love – so I figured putting the concept behind these two boxes together was going to be a winning formula!

The POPSUGAR Must Have Snacks box included six various snack options including: Dried Peaches, Blueberry Almond Bites, Lemon Pucker Pistachios, Seaweed Rice Pops, and a special POPSUGAR Must Have Mix.

Firstly, I’m just going to put this out there, the whole selection is perfect for welcoming in the summer. From the Dried Peaches – which would be perfect as a garnish for a fizzy drink, to the Blueberry Almond Bites – which are great on the fly – I think all six bags were perfect snacking options.

Blueberry Almond Bites, POPSUGAR, NatureBox

The great thing is that if you’re not into diving straight into the snacks and eating them by themselves by the handful (unlike me, haha!), you can also incorporate some of them into fun meals. For instance, I restrained myself and saved the Lemon Pucker Pistachios for the next time I make soba noodles, and oriental chicken salad – they’re so going to add the perfect pop of nuttiness and citrus to both dishes!

My favorite of all six snacks was the POPSUGAR Must Have Mix – it was so good, I wish I had more! Thanks POPSUGAR & NatureBox!

I ShopStyle! Don’t you?

If you follow me on pinterest you probably know that I am a fashion fanatic. I have more pins on my fashion board then on any of my other boards. As a New Yorker I’m lucky enough to be exposed to some serious fashion and usually can spot a trend a mile off. I’m a true believer that fashion can be for everyone, and finding a place where you can have access to great pieces at competitive prices is key to a world of fab creativity.

In celebration of POPSUGAR’s ShopStyle site, I put together a few of my favorite cold weather pieces that I simply cannot live without!

We ShopStyle

The grey sweater is from Liz Claiborne – it’s a warm, comfy pullover that I just love paired with skinny jeans. I added a chunky statement necklace that I bought from a local jewelry store here in the city – I love chunky necklaces and I feel like the bright red, orange, and gold tones liven up the sweater.

The boots are “Sheena” from Rocket Dog. Rocket Dog is one of those brands that I can never get enough of. Boots are always trendy during the colder seasons, but these I could wear all year ’round. They’re comfy, have a tiny bit of lift, and are pretty much perfect. I love the selection that they have available at ShopStyle – I might end up treating myself to another pair!

The scarf is from Mossimo, and when I initially bought it I thought that it was a floral print. I’m normally not that into florals, except that I loved the color so much and it went really well with the color of my hair and my skin tone. After I bought it I discovered the scarf didn’t actually have flowers – it had massive skulls! I still love it, only I feel like more of a badass now when I wear it. ShopStyle has a great selection of Mossimo pieces – all priced amazingly, of course.

The yellow bag is a Navoh “Emily” bag that I’ve had for a while, and the brown bag is the “Dusk till Dawn” crossbody bag from Ecko Unlimited by Marc Ecko. The brown bag is a warm, go-to item and I reach for the Navoh bag when I need a pop of color.

The striped shirt is from INC International Concepts, and the plaid peplum pencil skirt (try saying that three times fast!) is a vintage piece.

What are your favorite fashion pieces or trends? Let me know in the comments below – and be sure to check out ShopStyle!

POPSUGAR September Box Review & Exclusive Coupon Code!

subscription box, POPSUGAR, Must Have, Lifestyle, Beauty, Subscription Box

I was recently sent, as a POPSUGAR Select Blogger, one of POPSUGAR’s ever-popular monthly Must Have subscription box for the month of September. I was really excited when I heard I would be receiving one of their Must Have boxes because they have a really good reputation with many of the beauty blogs that I read.

The September Must Have box included items that revolved around the theme of DIY – or Do It Yourself. Here’s what was inside:

Barr-Co Diffuser

Barr-Co. Original Scent Reed Diffuser (ARV $46) – In the original scent, a handcrafted blend of milk, oatmeal, and vetiver. I’m especially fond of vetiver as a scent, and this original blend smells so good – it’s warm and interesting at the same time, very comforting. It would make for an excellent gift too!

PS You're Invited

P.S. – You’re Invited by Erica Domesek (ARV $26) – I haven’t had a chance to properly go through the entire book, but it is excellent for those who love to DIY, those new to DIY, and even those who are just looking for a little inspiration. Also an excellent gift! P.S. Be sure to check out Erica’s site P.S. I Made This… by clicking here!

Rifle Paper Co Coasters

Rifle Paper Co. Coaster Set (ARV $16) – These coaster’s are adorable, I really really love them – they’re girlie and colorful, but also ladylike at the same time. I’m really torn because I want to keep them for myself, but I also know of a family member who would flip for these, lol! Oh, what to do…

MyKitsch Headbands

Kitsch Headbands (ARV $15.99) – If you are looking for a perfect gift for your girlfriends, your sisters, your female relatives, or yourself, then this is it. These Kitsch Headbands come in really vibrant colors and work as ponytails, headbands, and even keeping posters in a roll (aka “emergencies”).

$25 Shoptiques Gift Card – Shoptiques is an online shop/marketplace, they have a lot of unique designer pieces and I’m hoping to use my giftcard toward a Christmas gift for one of my lucky loved ones.

That’s It. Bar (ARV $1.67+) – Okay, so get this – this bar only has two ingredients – apples and pears. That’s it (lol!).

Sharkies (ARV $1.50) – These quick energy boost gummies are great for workouts and made from organic ingredients, I’m actually giving this to a friend who participates in group sports, is very athletic, and will love these.

Overall, at $35 a month, this box is a steal. I love every single item in my box, they are all things that I will use or would make a beyond great gift. I’m particularly happy with the Barr-Co. diffuser, I’ll probably buy it again when I’m all through with it. The total retail value of my box was about $132, well over three times (almost four) what I would have paid for it!

Even if you’re not a fan of everything in your box, it’s still a great way to receive items (usually big ticket) that make impressive gifts for any occasion. Also the box itself, as a subscription, makes a stellar gift!

If you’d like to subscribe to POPSUGAR, I have a special code just for you! Right now until October 20th use the code SEPTSELECT to get $10 off any new 3 month subscription of the POPSUGAR Must Have box – just click here to sign up and use the coupon code SEPTSELECT when you check out!

Also, be sure to come back and let me know what your thought’s are about the POPSUGAR Must Have box!
