Snyder’s of Hanover Review & FLASH Giveaway! Ends 10/24

I consider myself pretty crafty. I mean I’ve been scrapbooking and card making for years, I’m a frequent Michaels shopper, and I even took a Wilton cake decorating class a couple years ago. However, when I set out to create some amazing themed snacks using only the best ingredients- fondants, frostings, decorative icings, sprinkles, and Snyder’s Pretzels – I figured I’d create some fun treats that would be worthy of their own Martha Stewart Living cover. I was wrong. My genius completely failed me- my peep ghosts on pretzel rods drooped, and my chocolate covered harvest pretzels mysteriously disappeared (I wonder where they went? ;)). However, Shawn and Juliet had a blast creating their own fall themed creations.

It was hard to resist eating all the pretzels while making our treats. I have to admit, the Honey Braided Twists were gone long before the sinfully delicious CakeMate frosting made its way out its convenient packaging. Snyder’s Pretzels have a distinct place in my childhood memories – they were (and are) my grandpa’s favorites, and now they’re also mine. There’s nothing like munching on some Snyder’s while studying, watching a movie, or on a car trip.

Anyways, here are the treats that we created:

Me and Jules decided to make our own mini haunted houses out of Snyder’s Pretzels and frosting – in fact we turned it into a bit of a competition – tell me which house you liked best!

This is mine, I loved using sprinkles and frosting to color the windows, and adding the little sprinkle ghosts and bats – it was so fun and cute!

And here’s Jule’s – she added a whole graveyard element to it!

Making treats like these are super duper easy, I loved looking at Snyder’s pinterest board for inspiration. They have so many brilliant (and easy) pretzel treat ideas on there!
