A few months ago my family and I were planning a family vacation. Everyone had gathered together and were on their separate devices – me on my chromebook, my sister on her kindle, my brother on his tablet, my parents on their laptops, etc. Getting a whole bunch of people to agree on a destination is feat, getting them to agree on hotels, restaurants, and places to see while you’re there is a whole other battle. Someone would find something exciting and we would proceed to pass the [insert electronic device here] until everyone had a chance to see it themselves. I think at one point someone suggested needing a vacation from planning our vacation. It was as if we had gathered together for the communal experience of planning a vacation, but were separated by our devices. A few weeks ago I was introduced to the Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 Plus, since then my family and I have put it to the test – here’s what we thought!
The Logitech Touch Keyboard K400 Plus is (obv.) a wireless keyboard, it features a built in touchpad, and few handy shortcut keys. The keyboard also comes with a Unifying receiver – which connects your PC to the keyboard. Once you’ve connected your PC to your TV, you just plug the receiver into your PC and you’re ready! We don’t like complicated setups in my house – so we definitely appreciate the K400’s plug and play design.
The keyboard has a range of about 10 meters (or 33ft) so even if your living room is massive, you’ll still enjoy a trouble free connection. The keyboard itself is powered by two AA batteries and boasts an 18th month battery life. We’ve been using it for everything – personally I love to surf pinterest on it!
The thing about this keyboard is that it’s so light and really so perfects the PC-to-TV experience that you don’t realize how much you’ll end up using it. Just last night I was online shopping with my sisters – I mean things like bridesmaid dress shopping and looking up places to eat is so much better because you never have to call someone over to look at the computer. The keyboard shortcuts like the yellow left click button at the top left of the board makes it so comfortable to use the trackpad. I love showing YouTube videos to my friends and family – and now everyone can enjoy them at the same time.
The Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 Plus retails at around $39.99, and you read more about the keyboard by clicking here.
