P&G and Target Summer Glow Salon

Yesterday afternoon I was totally unprepared for the heat that was awaiting me downtown – if you follow me on instagram you probably already know that I was recently in Florida at Universal Orlando. I’m fairly certain that the temps down there were significantly higher yet somehow the city felt so much hotter then that hot Florida sun.Glow-Salon

Luckily for me I was invited by P&G and Target to join them right by the Flatiron building for their Summer Glow Salon. Open to the public, P&G in partnership with Target, featured mani’s, braids and blowouts, as well as a juice bar with favorite beauty brands – Fekkai, Covergirl, Olay, and Pantene. After cooling off with a Veg-Out Hydrator which included fresh pressed carrot, spinach, kale, parsley, apple, and lemon juice, I was ready to get summer glowing!

Hairstylist Kat Zemtsova hooked me up with a gorgeous Elsa-style pre-“Let it Go” braid/bun look using a few handy Pantene styling products (which I’m a massive fan of), I loved it so much! It kept my hair out of my face and off my neck, while looking gorgeously inspired, which is everything you want from a summer hair look. Braids are definitely what everyone is doing this summer – it’s pretty much the trend that won’t quit. Love it.

There was a pretty good line forming as NYC gals can never deny the allure of beauty and pampering (and free, we love free). They had a great set-up with soft white couches, and an open tent, and when you instagramed with the hashtag you were give a great little gift bag with a few of P&G’s hit products.

Loved the event – it definitely took the edge off of the heat. I can’t wait to use my Target Cartwheel app to save on my favorite P&G products – seriously, I use it every time I go to Target and I’ve already saved tons which is great because I end up buying so much in Target anyways! Keep your eyes peeled for great beauty coupons on the app!

Looks like a fun event. As a FL girl, I’m a huge fan of buns and braids, anything to keep the hair off my neck in the heat!

I was just in FL! I LOVE Florida! I can’t even begin to illustrate just how much I’m in love with braids right now – what stinks is that I actually have zero talent at it myself. I’m super jealous of girls who could twist their hair into neat perfect braids, now that is talent! πŸ˜‰
