Liquid Gold from Duane Reade!

If you were at my house a couple days ago, you might of heard howls of pain mingled in with chortles of laughter. No we’re not masochistic, we were just waxing! As it happens, last Sunday I headed to a local Duane Reade to pick up a waxing product that I’ve been particularly curious about and it’s called Hot Legs.

They happened to be on sale, and even included a $1 Any Axe Product sticky coupon – which I pocketed for later, my brother loves Axe’s deodorants. The Hot Leg’s line which is available at Duane Reade and Walgreen’s, includes body wax, as well as post-waxing oil, and tanning products. I chose the Hot Legs Peel Off for Sensitive Skin Wax – my skin is sensitive and I was so glad that they offered this option. My guess is that Hot Legs is pretty popular because there was only a couple of this kind left! I actually ended up stopping at an alternate Duane Reade to pick up the Hot Legs Total Body Hair Removal Cream too.

Anyways, I felt pretty confident about Hot Legs. After all, it was made in Australia, and lots of great things are made in Australia – Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), etc. So Australia has a pretty good track record, I think. Also the peel off wax is inflused with almond oil and other natural oils designed to alleviate redness, and replenish the skin’s moisture. By the way, I love that Duane Reade stocks innovative products like these! I have never heard of peel off waxing before, even the girls were shocked when I told them that no strips were required!

So the other afternoon, the girls and I decided to put these fancy Australian hair removal products to good use. The wax looks like liquid gold. The whole process was pretty simple – and I love that we didn’t have to use strips. Plus, the wax doesn’t have much of a scent, and I’ve used tons of different wax’s – which tend to actually have awful smells.

Hot Legs Depilatories #Shop

The Total Body Hair Cream works pretty much the same. You apply, wait, and remove – except the cream is way less painful. Also, in my experience depilatories smell horrendous – while this had surprisingly a nice gentle floral scent.

The Hot Legs Peel Off for Sensitive Skin Wax is not exactly pain free, and I may have exaggerated about the howls of pain. I mean there is a sting – but it was a lot less stinging than the sting that I experienced using Nair. As for the chortles of laughter, it was impossible not to notice how dapper we looked with our proper English gentleman wax-staches.

I love being able to swing by Duane Reade and pick up products like Hot Legs – it was such an adventure and I’d definitely buy them again! To check out my instagram or twitter pics from my Hot Legs experience, follow along with the #Cool2LookHot and #cbias hashtag!

Peel off waxing!?! How cool is that? You’re right; I’d put this stuff right up there in the superhero category. Gotta find me some of this.

Totally! But you must try the cream – I don’t think I can go back to shaving after using their hair removal cream. Seriously, no nicks and smooth hairless skin in less than 4 minutes? Yes please!

Shaving does get super tedious (and never mind the nicks, and irritation) Hot Legs hair removal products are my new favorite. I’m not even kidding, the hair removal cream is such a time saver! Thanks for stopping by Daisy!

I agree! The peel off wax does sound fantastic and I can’t stand the terrible scent of some hair removal products – glad to hear that’s not an issue with this line! Your wax-stache is fabulous and glad you’ve shared your experience! I’ll be on the look out for this line 🙂
