Karora Express Bronzing Mousse Review

reviewdisclaimer

I am ridiculously excited to be going on vacation in a few weeks, I’m headed to warm weather climate which means I’ll be breaking out my short-shorts and flowy skirts. While I don’t do tanning beds (at all, ever), and usually don pretty high spf on my skin (as you should), I do love the look of a golden, healthy-looking tan. I’ve tested out my fair share of home tanning solutions including gradual tanning lotions (that always fail to work), and instant tanning lotions which tend to smell rank and make you look more orange then tanned. Enter Karora, a brand that specializes in home tanning and hails from the Emerald Isles. I’ve been giving Karora’s Express Bronzing Supreme Bronzette Mousse a try and think I’ve finally found the tanning product of my dreams!

Karora’s bronzing mousse offers three different shades of bronze, you can rinse off the mousse in either one hour for a light tan, two hours for a medium, and three for a bronze. You also get a mousse-mitten, which isn’t the official name of it, but basically it’s a glove you’ll get to help buff the product onto your skin. I have a little bit of a story to tell about this – so I was sitting in my office, so excited to test Karora, I instagramed pics of the products and decided I’d quickly apply some to my left hand to see how fast it would work. Well, I instantly noticed a difference, however, I was called away to handle other business and completely forgot to wash it off. I mean, it was well over three hours when I realized that I had forgotten – now I normally wash my hands frequently, but I had been out and nowhere near a sink. By the time I got around to it my hand had turned a deep deep shade of bronze – so if you’re wondering if it works, trust me on this one, it DOES, haha!

I also tested the mousse out on my legs, and I feel like I should also mention that unlike many home bronzers this doesn’t smell off, it actually smells like vanilla with a undercurrent of citrus. While the darkest, three hour, bronze isn’t overly toasted – I strongly recommend that you leave the mousse on only between one to two hours. Also, you won’t get any streaking with this one, but you really want to make sure you cover your legs thoroughly and not be lazy about application or you might end up with tan ankle lines like I did – which I fixed up with a light application of mousse on the untanned part of my skin. My tan lasted for about four showers before I needed a top-up.

I enjoyed reading this view. I’m super pale and cannot tan at all. I would like to try this and see if it might help me some.
