If you’re a New Yorker, it’s impossible to not have heard of the Jingle Ball – the ads are everywhere, especially on the radio. And while tickets to the Jingle Ball are one of the most coveted of the season, they are hard to come by. Luckily, they have the Z-100/Coca-Cola All Access Lounge – which I was lucky enough to attend this year. While there were quite a few amazing brands present, I spent loads of time in the Duane Reade village where all of my favorite brands were!
I have to admit I did spend quite a lot of time with beauty brands. Pop Beauty was doing makeup and applying falsies, Conair was using Infiniti Pro Curl Secret to curl guests hair – which by the way is very probably the hottest beauty product of the year, Carmex was giving out fashionable lip balms, Axe was giving out travel size products, and KISS/Impress nails was applying their amazing nails on guests.
My favorite brand present was Goody – I love their products, and have reviewed a few here on the Talon so I was really excited to see them at the All Access Lounge. The ladies at the Goody booth were using Goody’s hottest and most popular items to do quick, easy, fun styles on guests.
I actually discovered my new favorite product while checking out Goody’s booth – their velvet velour hair bands. If you haven’t tried these then you’ll definitely want to – the velour helps keep the band stable, in your hair, without damaging it! Love it! I’ve already bought a couple packs at Duane Reade to put in my sister’s stockings.
I definitely loved Duane Reade’s presence at the Z-100 Jingle Ball – I feel like it’s such a quintessential NY event that it’s only natural that the city’s best drugstore be represented there!
I grew up with the Goody brand and still use their ouchless hair ties today! I’d love to go to a Pop Beauty event, what a fun way to discover new beauty must haves!

Yup – the Jingle Ball All Access lounge was definitely loads of fun, and it was great having a look at all the beauty brands they carry at Duane Reade! I also grew up with Goody and swear by their ouchless hair ties!!!
How fun! I always wanted to do that and am sad I’m no longer in NYC but I can always live vicariously through you!
Wow! It must have been awesome to be able to attend that! I don’t think we have an event like that here in San Jose. 🙁
Looks like you had a great time. I was born and raised in NYC. 🙂
Wow. It seems amazing. I wish I could have gone.
I have never heard of Jingle Ball but it sure looks like Duane Reade keeps it fun.
Sounds like a fun event. I have used goody hairties for years now.
What great coverage of the event. Goody is a favorite brand in our house too, since I have a little girl with lots of hair that needs to be tamed. Great job, Krista! #client
