Hurricane Sandy Disaster Relief

On the evening of October 29th Hurricane Sandy slammed into the East coast leaving behind a trail of destruction. East coast communities like the Jersey Shore, New York City, Long Island, and others have been devastated with the impact of the storm.

Many residents have gone, and continue to go without power, food, and/or access to clean water. Join Times Square Church as they partner with others churches, government, local and relief organizations to provide assistance and resources to those affected.

There are no overhead or administrative costs being deducted from your donation – this means 100% of your donation is really going towards aiding Hurricane Sandy victims. Time Square Church has been and continues to donate truckloads of water, food, and other necessities to hard hit areas – as well as feeding victims and those helping to restore homes.

If you’re a New Yorker (and even if you’re not) and looking to volunteer then listen up! TSC’s website lists where and how you can volunteer your services, where the need for volunteers are, the donations that are needed for those locations, and how you can get in contact with them.

Can’t volunteer? Then here’s a list of drop off centers, with their donation needs, throughout the boroughs. The temperature is dropping, and without access to heat many are in need of coats, gloves, scarves, etc.

Out of state? Donate any time online, or for more info about donating click here!

If you were affected by Hurricane Sandy and are in need – please click here for more information on how to get assistance asap!

As always, prayer is both needed and welcome!

TSC’s efforts to aid Hurricane Sandy victims is completely transparent and hands-on. Supplies are being sent directly to the areas where they are needed, and both church goers and otherwise and volunteering their time and skills to help others. Please consider in helping out as well. Thank you!

Just spoke to someone at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Staten Island about donating coats… he said that the address to send/drop off coats to their church should be 663 Manor Rd., Staten Island 10314. (not the Jewett Ave. address) You can call them at 718-761-1600 to verify. Thanks.
