I can’t tell you how many times I have enviously pondered how celebrities managed to get their lashes to look so perfect. Obviously I knew that there was some serious amount of falsies involved, however I’m not new to false eyelashes and even I couldn’t seem to get that perfect, really flawless look without burdening my lids with too many lashes and even more lash glue. Then along came Esqido. When they asked if I would be interested in reviewing one of their best selling sets of lashes I was floating with excitement. I had read that celebrities like Oprah and top models like Lily Aldridge wear/have worn mink lashes – so I knew that there must be a reason that they are so popular.
First off, Esqido nails it when it comes to packaging. The box comes sealed in plastic, so no elements will harm your lashes while shipping. The white box, with magnetic flap, and rose gold typography makes it feel like a special present – it’s also useful for storing your lashes between uses. The lashes I got my hands on were the “Oh So Sweet” style – which look really feathery and flirty. The strands are criss-cross to create a thickness along the base of the lashes, while fanning out for a fluttery look.
I went for a simple look here, I have pretty long lashes naturally (yup, grew ‘em myself) so these added just the right amount of glamour. I’m not going to mince words here – these are easily the best set of false eyelashes that I’ve owned or worked with in my entire life. These lashes check off on all my requirements for the ideal set of falsies. They’re really light – so much so that I don’t even “feel” that I’m wearing them and I’ve even forgotten when I had them on (in a good way). These stay put and do not curl up at the ends. If you’ve worn falsies then you know what I’m talking about – you put on a pair and before the night is through the ends start to lift up off the base of your lash line, which is a dead giveaway that you weren’t actually born with lush lashes. However, these are made with a handcrafted cotton band, and in the time I’ve worn them have never curled up at the end and lifted off my lash line – score for Esqido!
The Oh So Sweet Esqido lashes come with a $45.99 price tag – which may make some of you spill your tea – but before you do, keep in mind that these can be worn as many as 25 times and they are well and truly worth every single penny. If you’re someone who primarily wears falsies for business engagements and special events then these are definitely a worthwhile investment! Or, if you’re a gal who values having epic lashes then these are perfect for you! Esqido, I’m officially in love.
