Bonding & Beauty with Benefit and MamaDrama!

Being a true makeup-aholic I can’t even begin to tell you how pleased I was to receive an exclusive invite to a special “Bonding Over Beauty” event held by MamaDrama and Benefit Cosmetics. I’ve been a huge proponent of Benefit’s BadGal Lash Mascara since I first tried it almost a year ago – it really is my go to mascara, and am in love with their blushes and eyeshadow sets. As a major Benefit fan (who wouldn’t fall in love with their adorable packaging and amazing products?) I gratefully accepted. So last Saturday my sister and I found ourselves being primped and pampered at Benefits flagship location in SoHo, here are some pictures from the event!

Not only did I have my makeup done whilst indulging in cupcakes and brownies, I was also surrounded by some amazing bloggers and many of their daughters. Benefit’s SoHo location is drop-dead gorgeous, I loved the retro themed décor that perfectly matched the iconic packaging that Benefit is known for. I really love how MamaDrama and Benefit focused this event on bonding over beauty – personally, my mom, sisters, and I have always been able to bond through makeup and beauty. We spend many an hour doing each other’s makeup- which always is a good time. I firmly believe that a family that applies mascara together stays together.

While getting my makeup done I was introduced to three of my new must-have Christmas wish-list products: Boi-ing industrial strength concealer, Girl Meets Pearl liquid luminizer for the face, and You Rebel SPF 15 tinted moisturizer. Unfortunately before the event I broke out along the side of my jaw (I blame midterms), but Boi-ing concealed those suckers up unlike any concealer that I’ve ever used before! I’m now a huge fan and am hoping Santa tosses some under my tree this year. I have reddish undertones to my skin plus my face is super sensitive – the second the makeup artist (who was super nice!) applied You Rebel to my skin I fell in love with it. The aloe in You Rebel instantly calmed my skin, and left it looking and feeling quite lovely. She also blended some of the Girl Meets Pearl liquid luminizer into the You Rebel before application, which gave me a perfectly glowing look. These three have made their way to the top of my Christmas wish-list!

Erin and Holly, the gorgeous moms of MamaDrama, were super warm and welcoming and I just have to thank them and Benefit for hosting such a fabulous event! My sister and I had a blast, and I loved mingling with other bloggers and picking up some great makeup application tips!
